Why do some complaints persist even though they are being treated? Dr. Olaru has pursued this question in his research for more than 45 years, with a focus on the severely affected, on complicated cases and those where treatment options are exhausted, and on prevention.
Research for practice
Many people carry a hidden, so-called pre-programmed syndrome. The cause of such complaints often goes undetected, or they are treated only symptomatically. If the cause is not recognised and treated in time, the complaints can become entrenched and chronic.
The institute also investigates in long-term studies how private and professional strain in everyday life affects health.

Own developments
A newly developed treatment chair links manual treatment with modern robotic technology: the patient provides gentle, rhythmic movement impulses, and the apparatus converts them – to relieve the intervertebral discs and correct the spine. The second pillar is targeted training. The chair is suitable for the practice as well as for self-treatment at home.
